The 2019-2020 Liberia National County Sports Meet, 16 teams representing their respective counties as they battle at the Samuel K. Doe’s Sports Complex. Competing for one cup and to be labeled #1 in the nation. As every Liberian root for their home county, unfortunately, a lot of county have dropped off along the way.
Here are the results from this weekend quarter finals held on January 18, 2020:
- Grand Kru County knocked out the strong legs of River Cess County in a 2 – 0 full time match.
- Sinoe County faced Maryland County in a 90 minutes with either team scoring, resulting in a penalty kick out. Maryland sent Sinoe home with the score 6 – 5.
- Grand Kru and Maryland qualified for the Semi Finals.
The quarter finals continue today, January 20, 2020. Features for the quarter finals second phase are Nimba County vs Gbarpolu County and Lofa County vs Bomi County.
